WORDS OF WAR

Based on the real-life story of journalist Anna Politkovskaya’s pioneering crusade for an independent voice in Russia. She gained widespread international renown for her criticisms of Vladimir Putin and stands as a pillar of press freedom. In 2006, she  assassinated which attracted widespread international attention and outrage. The film is a microcosm of a global epidemic in which a staggering number of journalists are silenced and murdered in the pursuit of uncovering and exposing the truth.
